On Friday, November 8, 2024, Luang Prabang Province was officially declared “Open Defecation Free”. It has reached a latrines coverage of 90% of its territory. The overall country is expected to be declared ODF by the end of 2025.

Since 2012, Confluence and its partners has been supporting the province in reaching the ODF target. All projects combined, more than 900 households were equipped with individual latrines.
