Developed Access to Rural Water supply and sanitation in Luang Prabang
Objectives
Contribute to the fight against poverty in rural communities in Luang Prabang province through sustainable access to a safe drinking water service, sanitation facilities, and safe hygiene practices.
The project has four specific objectives:

The project has four specific objectives:
- Improve access to water and consolidate management mechanisms for rural water systems
- Promote secure access to sanitation
- Improve hygiene practices
- Build the capacity of stakeholders and promote knowledge sharing.
- 12 gravity-fed water networks built, including 3 networks with metered private connections
- 4,800 people with secure access to water
- 1 governance model for private connection networks developed and adopted
- 400 households with improved sanitation services
- 720 pupils sensitized on hygiene
- 8 school sanitary blocks built (480 pupils)
- 1 photography exhibition and 1 national seminar organized on access to water and sanitation in rural areas
- 1 academic and university partnership on water quality established between the University of Tours and Souphanouvong University
