As part of the DEAR Water project, Confluence Association organized a photo exhibition entitled “Namlin, The Pace of Water” at the French Institute of Luang Prabang, from October 27, 2023, to January 27, 2024.

The DEAR Water project aims to improve the health of rural communities by collaboratively improving access to water, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Through the lens of Sonepasith Phanphila, viewers can observe the impact of water access, or the lack thereof, on the daily lives of two villages.

The artist: Sonepasith Phanphila

Sonepasith Phanphila is a renowned Lao filmmaker and photographer dedicated to documenting rural lifestyles and traditional Lao culture. His work focuses on the experiences of Lao youth within a rapidly changing society.
